It was announced today that actor Kiefer Sutherland will take over the role of Solid Snake in Konami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Famously voiced by David Hayter in prior iterations, Sutherland will provide both the voice and facial capture for the character. More as it develops. Source Polygon

One of Sony’s most beloved Playstation franchises is getting its very own CG movie. Animation studio Rainmaker Entertainment has joined with independent production company Blockade Entertainment to recreate the world of the Insomniac developed games for a theatrically released film scheduled for 2015.
